10th Massachusetts Battery, Light Artillery
The 10th Massachusetts Battery is an active N-SSA participant. We typically have a presence at all the Regional shoots, as well as both National shoots.
In addition to most of the Small Arms classes, we field Artillery. Currently we have a 3-inch Ordnance Rifle, 2.25 inch Confederate Mountain Rifle, a 12-pounder Mountain Howitzer, and a 12-pounder Coehorn Mortar. We also compete in the American Artillery Association.
The team enjoys getting together both at our campsite at the Nationals, and locally. When we can, we explore the history of the Battery as well as the Civil War. Most of our members are from Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts.
